Reignite my Story

Every life tells a story

About

First off, let me say, “Thank you!”  Thank you for stopping by this blog and checking out what we’re up to.  This blog exists for folks just like you — folks with great life stories to tell.

So, a little about me. I’m a follower of Christ and I’m on a journey of life that includes managing depression and anxiety (read more about it here).  It is not an easy journey and I’ve bumps in the road.  But, at the end of the day, I do my best to step past my own questions, fears and doubts and follow Jesus.  The phrase I use to describe myself is “broken with a purpose.”  Maybe you feel that way too.

So then, let me tell you a little more about the inspiration of Reignite My Story.  I’ve had a theory about life for awhile.  It has been shaped by people such as Andy Stanley, Donald Miller, Rob BReignite.008ell, Frederick Buechner, Jud Wilhite, C.S. Lewis, Dallas Willard, the Apostle Paul and, of course, Jesus Christ.

Most of those that I list, and way too many others to name, share life lessons in the form of stories with a purpose. In fact, I believe strongly that you have a story for your life.  I believe that so much that it’s one of the core values of this site.

Our life stories can take us all over the place.  They can introduce us to all kinds of people.  Our stories are filled with ups and downs.  Our stories include the ways that we had the success and the way we handle things when the world falls apart.  We have moments of victory and defeat, moments of challenges and overcoming.

I’ve been fascinated by “story.”  At one point in my life, my story included working in journalism and having the chance to hear some incredible stories.   Those stories, your story, my story need to be told.  In fact, maybe you never thought about it, but if you are willing to share the story of your life, you might very well provide the first step for someone else to move toward sharing their story.

Thanks for stopping by and I invite you to share in this journey of “Reigniting your story.” We’re going to do that by resetting it, renewing it and redeeming it.

I’d love to hear about your journey through your own reset, renewal and redemption.  Contact me by email at reignitemystory@gmail.com.
